Profile
Name, organisation, role, industry, function, and buying authority, used to map and match you.
Privacy
Kalman | Commons⁺ collects the minimum data required to map you and make relevant introductions. We do not resell member data. Your profile is used to connect you with proximate, relevant counterparts, never sold as a list, never handed to advertisers.
Guiding principle
We hold what is needed to place you accurately on the network (location, industry, function, and authority) and to introduce you to the right counterparts. That data is not a product. It is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing.
How data is handled
Name, organisation, role, industry, function, and buying authority, used to map and match you.
Date of birth confirms you are 25+. It is not retained; we keep only the verification outcome.
Email and optional phone, used to reach you and facilitate introductions you welcome.
Member data is never sold or provided to advertisers. Introductions are made on relevance.
Location
We always hold your country, jurisdiction, and city so the network can order connections by proximity. A precise location (latitude/longitude) is captured only if you explicitly tap "use my precise location" and your browser grants permission. You can join fully without sharing a precise location; city-level is enough.
Payment
Membership is a one-time fee processed securely by Stripe. Kalman | Commons⁺ does not see or store your card details; they are handled entirely by Stripe. We retain only a record that your membership was paid, the amount and currency, and Stripe's transaction references, so we can confirm and support your membership.
Forum & groups
The members' forum is organised into groups you can read on the site or follow by email. When you follow a thread we email you new posts, and you can reply directly from your email client; every notification carries a one-click unsubscribe. A copy of public group activity is kept in a private archive we control, which also feeds an optional read-only newsreader service.
“Private” threads are access-controlled, not end-to-end encrypted. Only the members you include can see them, but they are readable by us as the operator and are not secret in a cryptographic sense — treat them as confidential, not as secure messaging.
Retention. We keep discussion only as long as it is useful to the network, then remove it on a defined schedule. You may ask us to delete your posts at any time and we will erase them from our systems and archive. One limit we cannot overcome: any message already delivered by email lives in recipients' own mailboxes, which we cannot reach — so we can promise deletion from our systems, not from inboxes that already received it.
Your data
You may ask what we hold about you, request correction, or ask us to remove your record. Email members@kalman-systems.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time. Where a matter involves legal or regulatory obligations, it may be handled through the appropriate authorised channel.
This summary describes our operating principles and is not a substitute for a formal privacy policy or legal advice; a full policy will be published before public launch.
